Welcome to Last Samurai CKC and NIPPO Registered Kennel
Dedicated to breeding genetically healthy and temperament-tested purebred Samoyed and Shiba Inu dogs. We carefully select our dams and sires based on their temperaments and physical traits. All dogs in our breeding programs are health tested and OFA cleared, including hips and elbows, thyroid, eyes, and cardio assessments, along with genetic tests for congenital abnormalities through generations.
About our Kennel and Breeding Program
We are Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) and Japanese Dog Preservation Society/Nihonken Hozonkai (NIPPO) REGISTERED KENNEL. The owner Anastassia Kibzoun-Shtefan is a proud member in good standing with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), Nihonken Hozonkai (NIPPO), Canadian Akita Club (CAC), Grey Bruce Kennel and Obedience Club (GBKOC) and Samoyed Association of Canada (SAC), with whom she holds the position of Ontario Regional Director. Anastassia also works closely on the nationwide rescue and foster programs for the Samoyed, Akita, and Shiba Inu breeds. Last Samurai Kennel is proud to be part of a nationwide rescue network and breed preservation. Samoyed
Our Samoyeds have distinctive polar bear features and very gentle temperaments. Over the years we selectively hand-picked the best traits from world-leading kennels with multiple international champion titles. Our bloodlines carry Vanderbilt (Canada), Wild Snow Kingdom (Ukraine), Moscow Blizzard (Russia), Dragviken (Poland), Belolakay (Russia), Margarita's Kingdom (Russia), Yin Se Xing Kong (Korea), Panda Sharm (Russia), Polar Mist (USA), Alkhabor Almira (Russia), My Majesty (Russia), De Villaodin (Spain) and Dorian Spring (Russia). We strive for breed preservation by maintaining the breed's integrity and safeguarding the Samoyed breed so that its existence will continue into the future.
Shiba Inu
Our Shiba Inu breeding program is our new big passion! We are extremely proud to hand-pick our adults from the top breeding kennels that follow Nihonken Hozonkai (NIPPO) standards for this wonderful breed. We determined to breed within the breed's country of origin standards for physical traits and temperament. Our adults have proven genetically healthy bloodlines with NIPPO, FCI, RKF, BKU and UKU titles.

Last Samurai Kennel is bursting with pride over our incredible kennel graduates, Chance The Rapper of Last Samurai and Peppermint Patty Mama’s Sweet Candy, along with their passionate and caring owner, Shellie Shand, for their outstanding achievements in dog sports. We also want to celebrate our dear friend and talented breeder Cathy Walker of Winterfrost Samoyed kennel for the fantastic opportunity to collaborate and achieve remarkable results with co-breeding Winterfrost Tesla. Under Shellie’s expert guidance, Tesla is transforming into a one-of-a-kind sporting partner and a vital teammate to Chance.
